Shockwave Therapy (SWT) is a treatment that uses gentle sound waves to stimulate healing in areas of the body affected by ongoing pain, tension, or slow recovery. SWT enhances blood circulation via low-frequency waves and accelerates the healing of persistent musculoskeletal conditions involving bones, tendons, ligaments, and muscles.
At OMWC, SWT may be incorporated into your Massage or Chiropractic treatment when clinically appropriate. It allows your therapist to focus on specific areas of concern and support the body's natural healing response alongside hands-on care.
When SWT is added to a Massage or Chiropractic appointment, an additional $10.00 + HST is applied. This reflects the use of specialized equipment and targeted therapy.
Your practitioner will discuss whether SWT is suitable for your condition and explain how it may enhance your overall treatment plan.
