Carrie Stevenson holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Masters of Social Work Degree with a specialization in Individuals, Families and Groups from Wilfrid Laurier University. She has over 20 years of experience working with diverse populations in a variety of different settings, such as acute psychiatric care, corrections, education and various community agencies. Carrie is a registered member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW).
Carrie is also currently employed at the Youth Wellness Centre (Outpatient Clinic at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton) since 2015. She has worked in the capacity as a Clinical Therapist with youth (17-25) and the Family Educator supporting the loved ones of youth who are experiencing mental health and addiction challenges.
Passionate about the mind-body-spirit connection, Carrie practices from a holistic lens and incorporates mindfulness and self-compassion into her healing practice with clients.
