Counselling assesses and treats emotional, mood, thought, cognition, or behavioural disturbances that may be impacting the client’s level of functioning.

Sometimes in life there seems to be a stand-still or there is a struggle that does not seem to go away on it's own. Counselling assists people with their life. We approach counselling through a variety of therapies that best suit the clients needs, working alongside them to determine their goals in therapy. Counselling offers a secure place for people to be themselves, facing no judgement.  Clients share parts of themselves that they may never have spoken to other individuals.

You will work as a team with Carrie to clarify your needs and goals to create an individualized treatment plan.

Utilizing a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as: Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Brief Solution Focused Therapy (BSFT), Carrie will take an eclectic approach based on your needs and the issues and challenges that you are dealing with.
